K9PT’s Structured Day Play program is a recreational program designed to focus on activities that support physical health and mental focus. The ‘Day Play’ program will positively benefit every age. From younger dogs learning coordination to older dogs working to strengthen those stabilizer muscles, every dog can find something they enjoy while in attendance. Let’s not forget those dogs with boundless energy and love for action! If you need help with providing adequate exercise opportunities for your dog that seems to never get tired, we’ve got the answer. 

Our Day Play program will facilitate a rotation of diverse physical activities that include agility course runs, playgroup, dog powered scootering, treadmill and slat milling, Fit Paw, hula hoops, fetching and tugging, spring pole, basic nose work, as well as pack walking. There will be a general routine of activities that would occur daily, and some activities that occur more sporadically. Dog eligibility for this program is dependent on overall behavior.‘Day Play’ is designed for dogs that have had some basic training and owners looking for help with exercise and enrichment opportunities for a generally well-behaved dog.

Families looking for behavior support and more formal training should read details on our day time training program, The Day Trainer. Just like all of our programs, Day Play is only available to previous or existing training clientele. We prefer that Day Play dogs can perform basic training skills prior to participating in the program. They will need to tolerate general leash handling, intermittent crate sessions, and working in proximity to other dogs. This will allow for us to get the most out of the planned day of fun, Structured Day Play adventures. 

Perhaps most importantly, Day Play is an excellent option for k9 parents to rely on for all those hot desert days that revisit us every year. At over 4,000 sq ft of indoor, air-conditioned space, we are the support many families are looking for when they’re unable to walk their dogs outdoors for several months out of the year.
